A Message from Elizabeth
The executive board plus other retirees met at the training conference to discuss what the retirees might want out of NAPUS for 2010. It was decided to extend a $10.00 refund to all registered retirees at the state convention who attend the retiree meeting. Be sure you realize the convention will be in April this year in Bloomington. Our retiree meeting will be Monday afternoon. If you can only attend Monday, it will include General Session, lunch, our meeting, and the banquet.
Please let me know if you can help with any tasks for the convention, and I will share that information with Shelley and Cheryl. Retirees have always helped with registration and breakfast. We will need your help on Sat. Sun. Mon. for registration, or Sat. Sun. Mon. or Tues. for breakfast. Just let me know what you can do.
Larry Wieneke might also need some help with PAC.
I will be going to Washington DC, and I will report back through the IPN about the business that took place there for the retirees.
Today is a cold January day. This morning I talked to a Postmaster friend, and he said we will have done our jobs if we deliver the mail and wait on the customers. I added that we need to keep our heads high too.

Special Note
A short note to let the retirees know that fellow retiree Mary Bolton fell and has a broken right wrist to prove it. She said she was "down and disgusted", as she is right handed and this really limits activity.
