POST OFFICE CLOSINGS

Retirees on the Postal Preservation Committee have been busy this past year helping communities who have been targeted for a study on closing the local post office.  Joe Harvat has sent packets to the 225 offices on this list with information to be passed on to community members striving to keep their offices open.  Members of this committee are listed on the inside cover of the IPN.

MEETINGS

Illinois NAPUS Retirees will hold their annual meeting on Saturday, April 21 in Springfield, during the Illinois State Convention.  This is a great opportunity for retirees to renew old acquaintances.  The convention hotel, The Springfield Hilton, is just a few blocks from the Lincoln museum.  Those are two of many great reasons to attend the 2012 state convention!
